It is no secret that Yorel Cairo started acting because of Will Smith ever since “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”.” Yorel Cairo got his chance when he was in his last year as radio host for Dutch radio “Mosa Radio” who was contacted by Dutch Television Network “MTNL” to work together on a TV show. Yorel Cairo wrote four sketches, where he was guided by famous Dutch comedian & actor “Jeffery Spalburg” which resulted in four hilarious sketches for the show called: “Bruja!”

Short after his four sketches three commercials for Dutch Music Television “The Box” were recorded with Yorel Cairo.

Ever since Yorel Cairo has been in TV productions such as: Goede Tijden / Slechte Tijden, Lotte, Onderweg naar Morgen.
Commercials for: Ohra ( insurrance company as the stand-in for the virtual main-character), KFC commercial.
Films such as: Moordwijven directed by Dick Maas, Band of Strangers directed by Didier Chabi, De goede huisvrouw directed by Reinoudt Oerlemans and the short film Trigger directed by Jayant R. Harnam.

Yorel Cairo is also a great improvisational actor and has performed frequently with the group called “Impro Battle led by Marijn Vissers,” and studied Method Acting in 2008 under acting coach “Joost Buitenweg.”

Nowadays Yorel Cairo is also writing his own short film and sketches which he also directs. In 2011 Yorel Cairo also produced the short film “Tales of Grimm,” in which he also has one of the leading roles.

Both as a actor and director, Yorel Cairo is pushing himself to improve and always bring the best to the table. Perfection is not enough.
