Review: Django Unchained
Yorel has seen Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx, christoph waltz, Samuel.L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, you also see Quentin Tarantino in a small part, and he always get’s to leave the scene with a blast!
Now, first of all, when Yorel went to see this movie he had no idea the movie would last 3 hours….but 3 hours with lots of fun, comedy very good acting and some great action!
The movie buzzed around the web because of the abusive use of the N-word, yess it is a word we should not be using, but…Quentin Tarantino wanted to portray the “real” world of the slave era in America, thus…also the use of language.
The movie starts of with a bang….you see two slave traders with some slaves walking to their destination until they get into a forrest and encounter DR. King….he is no doctor noppe he is a bounty hunter and needs the help of a slave…Django. He finds him there and wants to buy him, but not as a slave, as a free man! DR. King does not like slavery…..at all!
The slave traders do not wish to sell and threaten the doctor, so what does our German doctor do…yup he shoots the guys!
Well after this first shooting, the action is only getting better!! Jamie Foxx is on top of his game when it comes to his acting as well are Christopher Schultz and Leonardo DiCaprio.
You even get to feel some sympathy for Samuel L Jackson’s character who is a actually a creep, being the “head” slave on Candyland…the estate of Monsieur Candy, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Yorel thinks this is a movie everybody has to see, not only the action, acting and the settings are very very good, the jokes are hilarious!
Quentin Tarantino did it again! A funny, great gritty action packed movie!

Yorel Cairo project – Café
The story of Café is inspired by the song “Café” performed by big time Korean pop group; “Big Bang,” who are signed with “YG.Entertainment.” These guys are freakishly popular in Asia and are taking the Western world by storm! I wrote a short story about a guy who works in a restaurant and when a girl walks in, he is taken away by her beauty. He manages to get a date with her, drinking coffee, but she is not really into him. Meanwhile another girl who’s kind of a regular in the café sees the guy’s being stood up, she then takes her chance to finally talk to the guy.

The Amazing Spider-Man was Amazing
So I just recently went to see Marvel’s Spidey reboot in The Amazing Spider-Man, this time with Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker / spidey and the great Emma Stone as Peter’s first love interest Gwen Stacy. For those who don’t know….Gwen Stacy was indeed Peter’s very first love, way before Mary Jane Watson came into the picture. Unfortunatly in the comics, Gwen died.
In this reboot, Marc Webb is exploring more of Peter’s background in relation to his parents. His parents were scientists working for the Oscorb corp. and were killed in a plane accident, now years later Peter is visiting Oscorb in search of answers and reaches out to Dr. Kurt Conners aka The Lizzard.
I have to say, The Lizzard looks pretty amazingly cool! Veryy Dinausoreque. The new Spidey suit was very cool and thank you Marc Webb for leaving the web-shooters in the movie!!! That was awesome!!
I don’t want to spoil anything for you guys, but there will be a sequel…whahahah as if you didn’t know already! Stay until the end credits for a last scene!
What I like about this version is that the story is being told quite good, but sometimes a bit slow and there is not enough action…..Bring us more action in the 2nd one!!!!
You have to see it in IMAX, I did and it was craxzy san!! Yup especially when they let the audience go into 1st person mode and you really feel like you are web swinging through New York! Crazy san!
So was this reboot amazing…yes I think The Amazing Spider-Man was Amazing. They did a great job with the special effects, the story could have a bit more pace, but the acting was excelent and the action scenes as well. Finally a Peter Parker who has not that annoying high pitch voice like Tobey Macguirre. The best Spider-Man movie from Marvel for sure!
Side Note: Stan Lee is the cameo king! His cameo in The Amazing Spider-Man was very cool!

Today it is officially my birthday! Happy 30th birthday to me! Damn how time flies!
I still remember all the naughty and fun stuff I did like it was yesterday. Another thing, it is 3 years since the King of Music has passed away. How could I ever forget…..his passing changed the way I’m looking at my own birthday…it became….more…”special..??”
Perhaps, but it did became more than just celebrating my birthday. Today I also celebrate the musical legacy this icon has left behind. I salute you…Michael Jackson!

Yesterday was a cool day! I celebrated my birthday with some fam and friends at my mom’s place. I had the greatest birthday cake ever!!!
My fam put me on with a Bruce Lee birthday cake! wheheh that was pretty cool! Bruce Lee is also one of my role models.
So thanks to my fam, my girlfriend and friends who came yesterday to celebrate with me, but tomorrow it will be my official birthday.
There is just one day left and today I still have to leave you guys with a Michael Jackson song / video. Today it will be – Scream.
Why? I heard it today when I was in the Pathe movie theatre.
Well just one more day and then I’m 30….LOL

Countdown until my Bday with Michael Jackson: days left 2
Today, the 23th of June 2012, I am with my girl at my mom’s place. I have to celebrate my birthday today, really did not want to but my mom kind of made me. So that is why I’m here today to celebrate. Invited some people over so I will see who will come or not.
I created an event on my facebook “YorelCairo” just click on my name, and invited some people, I realized I invited like 65 people…..heck that is a lot! Even when I was thinking about the people who I invited but may not make it, there were still about 40 people left. So I wonder how many people will be here today…my guess is around 25 to 30 people.
Let me thank my mother C.B. Cairo, my girlfriend J.M.H. Wirjosemito and my sister S.Magai for making this possible because without those three I’d definitely would not be celebrating, and I heard they got me a pretty cool cake…gonna be my first birthday cake since…..heck can’t even remember when the last time was I had a birthday cake on my birthday, lol.
Because it is 2 days away from June 25th and I post a blog with an MJ song each day until it is June 25th, I have another video I want to share with you guys.
This time it is the video of the song – Thriller! Do I need to say anything more about this video….NO!!!! Just read my blog and watch the video hehehe

Countdown until my Bday with Michael Jackson: days left 3
3 days left untill my birthday. they say 30 is the new 20…yeah right, they just say that to make you feel better.
What does make me feel better this morning is that I was listening to one of my all time favourite Michael Jackson songs: Keep it in the closet.
I like the the mood of the song, sensual and the song is just very nice! Like the video as well, the mood of the video is befitting to the song!
